A special concert featuring a musical legend! Clarinetist David Shifrin joins Jaime Laredo, Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, Anna Polonsky, and Sharon Robinson to share a deeply meaningful and poignant program. A leader across many institutions, including the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Yale School of Music, Shifrin’s “seasoned mastery” (Gramophone Magazine) has made him an icon. Audiences will experience the Washington, DC premiere of Abgang and Kaddish, composed by Pulitzer Prize winner Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, inspired by Oliver Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time.
